Our Story
The Chris-Harry Foundation for pregnant women, babies and children was founded by husband and wife, Ken and Amanda.
Ken is known to many as a private obstetrician and gynaecologist in Canberra. What many don’t know, is that they are the proud parents of two sons - Christopher and Harrison.

Their lives changed forever when their eldest son, Harrison, passed away at the age of six from a rare genetic condition. Looking back, Ken and Amanda wish that the genetic testing and specialist care available today had existed 20 years ago. Early knowledge of Harrison’s condition might have given him a better chance at life.
It is this deeply personal experience that inspired the creation of the Chris-Harry Foundation. Their mission is to give other families what they wish they had themselves. Access to vital knowledge, education, and care during pregnancy, and support for children who need medical help.
Through research, training, and family assistance, they hope to improve outcomes for mothers, babies, and children, and create a future where no family feels unprepared or alone.
Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of pregnant women, babies, and children. We do this by supporting research, training, and education for healthcare professionals, and by helping families access the care and resources they need, so every child gets the best start in life.
